While the waiter was delightful the sommelier was aggressive, unpleasant, unprofessional, and disrespectful to my wife. We are wine enthusiasts and sophisticated travelers and were perplexed by his behavior. If the food had been on par, perhaps this review would be better, but after being told with officiousness by the sommelier that this was "the best Italian restaurant in the country" we found the gnocchi over-cooked, and the bream bland and dry. Having just left Oporto, Portugal, where I had ordered the exact same dish, prepared the same way, it was an easy comparison to make. Unfortunately, it was also the most expensive meal we have had here in Praha. It was certainly not worth the money or our time. The evening was truly disappointing.
