Information Coda restaurant
Restaurant CODA is a paradise for good food and lovers of music. The culinary art of head chef David Šašek, a beautiful view of Prague Castle and Malá Strana, a luxurious environment complete with live music and an elegant stylish interior make it one of the best restaurants in Prague.
CODA Restaurant is located in the heart of old Prague just a few steps from Prague Castle and the Charles Bridge. CODA specialises in Czech and international cuisine with thought given to providing equally tasty vegetarian options.
Chef David Šašek has rich experience from both the Czech Republic and abroad. He learned from the best – Robert Webster, Siegfried Vidovic and Michelin starred chef Laurent Gras, all of whom are among the worlds top chefs. On the list of his „trainers“ is also Czech culinary guru Zdeněk Pohlreich.
CODA boasts a beautiful interior from the workshop of Italian architects Rocco Magnoli and Lorenzo Carmellini. They became famous by their close work with, amongst others, the famous fashion designer Gianni Versace. The amazing atmosphere is enhanced by the burning fireplace, original paintings by Dali and Picasso and live music performed by leading Czech pianists.
Carrying forward the musical and decorative concept of the restaurant is enhanced by the original way of serving the meals on plates with unique musician portrait caricatures by Czech designer Josef Blecha. These include Louis Armstrong, Jimi Hendrix, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Bedřich Smetana amongst others.
